Synopsis

The story begins with Hellboy, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm, and Kate Corrigan traveling to attend a conference. What should have been a dull, uneventful trip takes an unexpected turn when their aircraft crashes in an unexpected location. The team's flight crashes in a remote forest area, stranding them in what appears to be the Amazon rainforest. However, this is no ordinary crash site - the team soon discovers they have landed in a location where something extraordinary and dangerous awaits them. The central threat of the story emerges when the team encounters a mythical menagerie - a collection of ancient creatures from European folklore that has somehow manifested in the Amazon rainforest. These supernatural beings pose a significant danger to the stranded B.P.R.D. team. As the investigation proceeds, Hellboy must confront and fight these strange, powerful enemies that are attacking the team from the menagerie.
