Wilhelm Coppelius

Wilhelm Coppelius was a resident of Hell.

History

In life, Wilhelm Coppelius created a Golem who did everything that was asked of it, until one day it went rogue and killed several people. For this, Coppelius was driven out of town which is where he froze to death. Later in Hell, he held his good friend, Dr. Hoffmann, responsible for it all. With years of rage, he transformed to become more demon-like.

He managed to get Hoffmann into a court in Hell where he was deemed innocent by the jury. Hoffmann left with Hellboy who needed his help with his illness. This angered Coppelius, who transformed into a towering monster and pursued them. Hellboy distracted Coppelius whilst Hoffmann trapped his soul in the corpse of a dead cat. The pair found difficulty in controlling his spirit whilst it was in the corpse but they managed to overpower it. His fate after this is yet unknown.
