The Vampire of Prague was a man who was an obsessive gambler during the plague era. Left with no living opponents due to the epidemic, the sexton began playing cards with corpses. This desecration cursed him to wander as a vampire, forcing his victims to gamble for their lives. The curse dictates that the vampire can only achieve permanent peace if someone defeats him in a game of cards.
History
After living in Prague for hundreds of years, he was defeated by Hellboy in 1982 after a long fight in the city of Prague, he lost a card game and he was exposed to sunlight.
Hellboy later met him again in Hell.
