Tunungar

Tunungar was one of the seven outpost cities of the Hyperboreans.

Background

The lost city was discovered by the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra some time during the late 18th century. There the Brotherhood uncovered a body, which they used in a séance to speak to his spirit. From the deceased's testimony the H.B.R learned that the body was of a Hyperborean who lived in a time when their king was a god and that "the true nature of things" was a secret only known to him. The people of Hyperborea were ignorant but content, but a few believed that ignorance made them slaves. From their discontent the serpent answered and gave them knowledge. The corpses told the Brotherhood that knowledge is not a blessing, that to some it was power, or a curse. To the Hyperboreans it became their ruin. The corpse then begged to be returned to the dark ending the séance.

One of the female members of the H.B.R refused to believe that knowledge was a curse, and so sought to seek out the serpent that the Hyperborean mentioned.
