The Witch and Her Soul was a story created by Mike Mignola for The Amazing Screw-On Head and Other Curious Objects.
Plot
The Devil comes to collect the soul of a now deceased witch who made a bargain with him. Two of the witches animated puppets, Manx and Hankel, are troubled to learn that as "curios objects" created by the witch they now belong to The Devil as well. Fearful of burning in Hell the two puppets strike another deal with the devil. They agree to become "evil puppets" in exchange for The Devil allowing them to remain on earth.
