The British Paranormal Society

For the comic series, see The British Paranormal Society (series).
The British Paranormal Society was a paranormal investigative group from Oxford University during the late 1800s.
History
In 1884, a case where a ghostly apparition apparently caused the death of a man at the British Musuem attracted the attentions of Sir Edward Grey. Believing it to be connected to the theft of the Pentacle Disc from the Tower of London, Grey set out to investigate the possible lead. There, to his surprise, he found that he was not the only investigator. The British Paranormal Society had sent Professor Llewellyn Pritchard and his team to survey the site, and believed that the event was a haunting. Upon encountering the famed Witchfinder, the group were happy to make their acquaintance. Sir Grey was more or less unimpressed by their experiences in investigating the supernatural.[1]
