Sparky Bear

Sparky Bear is a non-canonical story published in Hellboy Junior #2. It was written by and drawn by Bill Wray.

Plot Synopsis

Sparky the Bear is "smarter than your average bear". He serves as ambassador for a park promoting forest fire prevention and serving as a park ranger thus estranging him from his fellow wildlife. He becomes violent following his human wife leaving him and writing a tell all book about their taboo relationship. Eventually he is caught murdering a camper and is fired from the park. He then ventures to the big city and squats in an abandoned building running his park Jeep to keep warm. His paranoia leads him to close the windows in his makeshift apartment and he dies from asphyxiation as the Jeep's engine converts the room's oxygen to carbon dioxide.
