Midnight Cowboy

Midnight Cowboy was a non-canonical story published in Hellboy: Weird Tales #2, with story and art by Eric Powell.

Plot Synopsis

Hellboy and his dog, Mac, sneak into a hanger he was earlier told was off limits to discover three aliens contained in glass storage containers. Mac licks some fluid that is dripping from one of the tanks and begins to grow and mutate. Hellboy first attempts to hide Mac to avoid getting in trouble for sneaking into the hanger but eventually Mac escapes and ends up dragging Hellboy out into the desert. Eventually Mack gets sick and, after vomiting the fluid he consumed, reverts back to his normal form and is carried back to the base by Hellboy.
