Connections to Other Mignola Works
Amazing Screw On Head
- The chapel is located in the same place Emperor Zombie flew his Evil Skull Balloon over on his way to the Aswam Valley in The Amazing Screw-On Head.
The Prisoner of Mars
- The same skull with lightbulb in its left eye socket and a "61" on it forehead seen amongst the possessions of Professor Cyclops in The Prisoner of Mars is seen in the chapel.
The Magician and the Snake
- The same statue of the Magician, the Snake, and the Solid Objects, seen at the at the end The Magician and the Snake is the statue housing the Solid Objects in the chapel.
Abu Gung and the Beanstalk
- Within The Chapel of Curious Objects it is not made clear who the hand opening the statue belongs to. All that is discernible is that the hand belongs to an oder individual of lighter complexion. Immediately following the story within The Amazing Screw-On Head and Other Curious Objects is a portrait of an elderly Professor E.E. Stoop. This might suggest that he is the individual opening the statue.
