Hellboy Jr. Gets a Car is a non-canonical story published in Hellboy Junior #2. It was written and drawn by Mike Mignola.
Plot Synopsis
While wandering through Hell, Hellboy and a magpie headed demon encounters a demon Hellboy knows, Gorgalac, constructing a car for Duke Barbator. Hellboy pleads to be the car's test driver and Gorgalac agrees so long a Hellboy doesn't push the yellow button. While driving the car the magpie headed demon pressures Hellboy into pushing the yellow button. Hellboy gives in and the car takes off like a rocket. Unable to control the vehicle Hellboy accidentally crashes it into Duke Barbator's castle destroying a portion of it and dumping Hellboy into a body of water. Hellboy is then swallowed by a fish which in turn is caught by some demons who proceeded to eat the fish and Hellboy.
The tale ends with adult Hellboy remarking "Who the hell ever thought this was a good idea". There is then a thank you from Mignola to all the writers, artists, colorist, letterers and editors involved with the Hellboy Junior series.
