World's Greatest Paranormal Investigator (SDCC)
Hellboy encountered the god somewhere in the Midwest region of the USA, one in a string of towns that had had all their residents disappear. Upon arrival, he noticed a sign in the shape of a cowboy boot with an Egyptian scarab and a swastika on it. He also encountered a lonely dog, which grows to immense size, and Hellboy realizes that it is Anubis. Hellboy defeated Anubis when the god landed on a flammable gas pump.
